The Supreme Court has given YouTube personality Ranveer Allahbadia – in a row about comments about parents and sex during an episode of stand -up show 'India's got latent' – a degree of exemption after no further police cases could be submitted to him about this issue .
The court also said that Mr Allahbadia, who claimed the death threats for his family and himself, could approach Maharashtra and/or Assam police for “protection of life and freedom, in the event of threats”.
He was also told that he would not be arrested, by Maharashtra or Assam Cops, as long as he collaborates on the investigation, or submitted in Jaipur on the basis of a third complaint.
Mr Allahbadia, however, was told to deposit his passport to the police in Maharashtra's Thane and warned not to try to leave the country without the nods of the court. He was also told that neither he nor his employees could participate in a further stand-up comedy or 'roast' shows until further message.
The court also looked for the response of the center to guidelines for 'obscene' content on social media.
Court Rips to Ranveer Allahbadia
On Tuesday morning, a Bank of Justice Surya Kant and Justice n Kotiswar Singh met to hear the plea of Ranveer Allahbadia to Clubfirs and to request an anticipatory bail against possible arrest by the Guwahathi police, who sent a team to his apartment in Mumbai last week To interrogate him.
The hearing began with Mr Allahbadia's lawyer, Abhinav Chandrachud, the son of the previous supreme judge, Dy Chandrachud, in the court's sights on his position on the comments.
Chandrachud explained itself “personally disgusting” by what Mr Allahbadia said; “I can't defend on moral grounds,” he said, but also point out “… whether it (the comment in question) is increasing to the level of criminal violation is another question”.
However, the court initially seemed to be void to agree with Mr. Chandrachud; Justice Kant was particularly furious and stated: “If this is not an obscenity in this country, which is then!?”
The hearing then changed into a fierce tongue washing for the YouTuber, aka 'Beerbiceps Guy' on Instagram, explains with Justice Kant: “There is something dirty in his thoughts spread by this program” and demands “why would the Court of such persons entertain “.
“What shame did he cause his parents? We know where he copied the question. There are certain societies where they warn who should not look of such programs … (referring to age customs for TV programs) that they retain precautionary measures.”

“… But only because someone thinks I am popular, can I speak something and see society for granted '… do you tell us, who wants such words in the world?” Justice side raged.

In the end, however, the court also acknowledged the issue of death threats and said: “We have a judicial device … We are bound by the rule of law. If there are threats, the law will take its course. We will not support this (the threats). I am sure the state will offer the necessary protection … “
The court eventually also accepted the submissions of Mr Allahbadia, giving him temporary protection against arrest and blocking further police cases against him.
Police matters, death threats for 'Beerbiceps Guy'
Ranveer Allahbadia is not only confronted parliamentary panel too.
Two others – Show host Samay Raima and participant Apoorva Makhija – also reported threats; Both are mentioned in police views, just like Ashish Chanchalani, another influencer of social media.

Ranveer Allahbadia apologizes
After the row broke, Allahbadia offered himself an apology and gave an opinion on.
“My comment was not only inappropriate … It wasn't even funny. Comedy is not my strength, I'm just here to say sorry,” he said in a video message. He also acknowledged that he had abused his platform. “I am not going to give context or justification or reasoning behind what happened. I am just here for an apology. I personally had a judgment in my opinion. It was not cool on my part,” he said.
On Saturday, again apologetically for his comments, Mr. Allahbadia said: “My comment about parents was insensitive and disrespectful and I am really sorry”.
