The man died on the spot, the woman died in hospital
New Delhi:
A couple were killed after their motorcycle collided with a car in Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh. The accident was captured on camera footage from a roadside restaurant.
The video shows the husband being thrown several meters into the air by the force of the blow. The woman falls on the road and hits a cycle rickshaw, the driver of which narrowly escapes the flying debris of the destroyed motorcycle.
The car swerves to the right before stopping after hitting a utility pole. The driver fled the area after the accident, police said.
Police said the couple was a resident of a nearby village and went to a relative’s house.
The man died on the spot, while the woman died during treatment at the hospital, police said.
No police case has been filed yet.
