New Delhi:
Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Singh Gill alias Arsh Dalla has been arrested in the Canadian province of Ontario in connection with a shooting incident. Local police had said they had arrested two men, one of whom was believed to be Arsh Dalla.
Here's your five-point cheat sheet for this big story
Arsh Dalla is associated with terror group Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) and executed terror modules on behalf of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a designated terrorist who was killed in June last year.
The Ministry of External Affairs has named Arsh Dalla as one of the Khalistani terrorists for whom India has submitted extradition requests to Canada.
Arsh Dalla is accused of involvement in targeted killings, terrorist financing and extortion in Punjab. He was declared a terrorist by the government in January last year.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is investigating several cases filed against him.
Arsh Dalla used his sleeper cell network whenever he got a 'hit order' from Nijjar to carry out targeted killings in Punjab. The two were involved in the murders of key figures.
