New Delhi:
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has refuted a report that said Fecale bacteria in water in many places on the Maha Kumbh did not meet the criteria for water bathing.
He said that the water at the Sangam – the point where River Ganga meets Yamuna, together with the mythical Saraswati – “is suitable for drinking”.
Crores of people have taken holy dips at the Maha Kumbh in Brayagraj of Uttar Pradesh.
The National Green Tribunal (NGT) said on Monday that high levels of faecal and total coliform were found at various locations in the Maha Kumbh, during a hearing about accusations that untreated sewerage was fired in Rivers Ganga and Yamuna in Prayagraj.
The report was submitted to the NGT by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), which said that the results of the monitoring of the water quality on 12 and 13 January discovered that the water was not suitable for bathing, let alone drink.
The considerable number of people who battled in the River in Prayagraj during the Maha Kumbh, especially on favorable bathing days, led to an increase in faecal concentration, according to the report.
Yogi Adityanath, who addressed the UP meeting, also convicted people who spread the wrong information against “Sanatana Dharma, Maa Ganga and India.”
“While we are participating in the discussion here, more than 56.25 crore devoted all their holy dip in prayeragraj … When we make unfounded allegations or spread fake videos against Sanatana Dharma, Maa Ganga, India, or the Maha Kumbh, the Is like playing with the faith of these 56 crore people, “said the prime minister.
On the Stormloop in the Maha Kumbh who killed 30 people on January 29, Yogi Adityanath said that his condolences are among the family members, and the government will help them in every possible way.
“… But how applicable is it to politize this? They (opposition) have been against the Maha Kumbh since day 1 … In the last session the discussions and preparations for the Maha Kumbh were going on … discussed … discussed … The plans and took your suggestions, but you didn't let the house run, “said the prime minister.
“The national president of the Samajwadi party asked what the need was to spend money on the Maha Kumbh … the social media handles of the Samajwadi party used language that a civilized society would not use … Lalu Yadav called the kumbh called 'failure'. [Samajwadi Party] Said that the maha kumbh has become the 'mrityu kumbh' … If organizing events related to Sanatana Dharma is a crime, then our government will continue to commit that crime, “said Yogi Adityanath, referring to comments by West -Bengals Chief minister Mamata Banerjee that the Maha Kumbh has become “MRITYU Kumbh”.
