Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of All India Majlis-E-ITeTehadul Muslime (AIMIM), has expanded unconditional support for the BJP government in the center after the Pahalgam terror attack. On April 22, terrorists attacked random tourists in Jammu and Kashmir and killed at least 26.
Owaisi has said that his party will support the decision that the government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will be national.
“This is the time to take care of our nation. Aimim will in which steps the government takes for national interest, safety and protection of Kashmiri people,” said Asaduddin Owaisi.
“Later we can talk about all the disagreements that we have between each other. But from now on we must be united at this critical moment,” he added.
“The government is already taking steps in the international arena. What steps have been taken in the Cabinet Committee for Security, we welcome it. We have to do what we have to do,” said Owaisi.
“Our political differences (with the BJP government) will continue and will never end. But it's time for us to stay united,” added the Aimim chef.
Owaisi previously welcomed the suspension of the Indus water treaty with Pakistan. He emphasized that the case should not be politized.
Owaisi further urged the government to act against the nation that houses terrorist groups.
With reference to international law, he has noted that India can perform air and navy blockages in self-defense. India can also impose sanctions on Pakistan, especially with regard to arms agreements, he added.
Asaduddin Owaisi Questions Security is canceled
At the same time, he asked the security gradient in Pahalgam's terror attack. He wondered why CRPF staff was not used in the Baisaran Meadow and why the fast reaction team lasted an hour to arrive.
Asaduddin Owaisi claimed that the attackers selected victims based on their religion. According to him, it pointed to a serious failure in intelligence and readiness.
