The Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) won all 10 mayor posts and the majority of citizen bodies in the Chhattisgarh on Saturday after the victories in the meeting and Lok Sabha elections in the state.

Driving high on welfare schemes and polls fulfilled by the Vishnu deo Sai government, the Safforn Party is also set to sweep urban bodies.
The elections up to 173 urban authorities, including 10 municipal companies, 49 municipal councils and 114 Nagar Panchayats were held on 11 February.
JP Nadda congratulates
BJP -Chef JP Nadda congratulated Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, says BJP President Kiran Singh Deo and Chhattisgarh BJP workers with the massive victory.
“This historical victory is a symbol of the relentless faith of the people of the State about the public well -being and tribal -friendly regulations that are implemented by the double Motorse Government led by the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji,” Nadda said in a Pox On X.
Historical Day, says Chief Minister Vishnu deo Sai
Responding to the victory of the party, said Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu deo Sai, which today is a historic day for BJP and the BJP government in Chhattisgarh.
“We can say that this day will be written in golden letters in the political history of Chhattisgarh because BJP has achieved a historical victory in the municipal elections. The voters have put their confidence in BJP here,” Deo said.
What trends say
– The Saffron party won all ten mayor posts. Counting was still going on.
– The BJP won mayor posts in all 10 municipal companies and the posts of the chairman in 35 municipal councils and 81 Nagar Panchayats.
– Opposition Congress won the position of the chairman in eight municipal councils and 22 Nagar Panchayats
– AAM Aadmi Party (AAP) won the position of chairman in one city council
– Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) won the position of chairman in one Nagar Panchayat.
– Independent candidates won the position of chairman in five municipal councils and ten Nagar Panchayats.
– The BJP has won or led in most municipal departments.
