Mumbai Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project: Infrastructure Major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) emerged as the lowest bidder for the design and construction of an 8 km flyover in Gujarat and Vadodara station for the country’s first bullet train corridor.
The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) – responsible for the implementation of the high-speed rail corridor, opened financial bids for the design and construction of the viaduct, which includes the high-speed railway station (HSR) in Vadodara.
Financial bids from two technically qualified bidders were opened and M/s Larsen & Toubro Limited emerged as the lowest bidder, NHSRCL said in a statement. The technical bids of this tender are open on October 5, 2021.
The Mumbai-Ahmedabad 508 km corridor with bullet train will operate at a speed of 320 km per hour, passing through areas in Maharashtra, Gujarat, as well as Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The entire distance is expected to be completed in two to three hours and will cover 12 stations along the route.
