West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee severed all ties with her brother Babun Banerjee after the latter expressed his displeasure over the party's reappointment of Prasun Banerjee from the Howrah Lok Sabha seat in West Bengal. Notably, Babun Banerjee is currently in the national capital Delhi. On Wednesday, Babun Banerjee had commented: “I am not happy with the selection of the candidate from the Howrah Lok Sabha seat. Prasun Banerjee is not the right choice. There were many capable candidates who were overlooked,” he said.
