EPFO subscribers should complete their e-nomination process as soon as possible
On December 29, 2021, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) extended the deadline for completing the e-nomination process for its subscribers, allowing them to do so even after December 31, 2021.
The organization has advised its subscribers to complete the process as soon as possible and not to wait for the deadline to pass or else they may face inconveniences in the future.
Prior to this deadline extension, several subscribers had a major problem while trying to access their e-passbook on the EPFO website.
This issue was the inability to view their e-passbook, which was blocked for failing to complete their e-nomination formalities.
After logging into their EPFO account, subscribers received a pop-up message asking them to complete their e-nomination process to view their passbooks.
Now, while the deadline was extended to December 29, 2021, EPFO had also advised its subscribers to complete the e-nomination process.
In a tweet that day, the organization had said: “You can submit a nomination after December 31, 2021. But choose to submit the e-nomination today,” adding that the process is convenient, paperless and contactless.
