New Delhi:
The Indian embassy in conflict-stricken Ukraine has issued a third advisory today asking Indian citizens living in the Eastern European nation to go to air raid shelters if they hear sirens from airstrikes in the capital Kiev.
In a tweet, the embassy added a link to the Kiev city government’s air raid shelters as Russian troops continue to advance in eastern Ukraine’s breakaway areas in Donbas.
Today air raid sirens sounded in Kiev. Russia has said it is using precision munitions against military targets in Ukraine.
“As you know, Ukraine is under martial law, which makes movement difficult. For those students stranded in Kiev without a place to stay, Mission is in contact with institutions to accommodate them,” the Indian embassy tweeted.
“We are aware that certain places hear air sirens/bomb warnings. In case you are faced with such a situation, Google Maps has a list of nearby air raid shelters, many of which are located in underground subways. For those in Kiev, the official link of KMDA Kyiv city administration is here,” the embassy said.

Do not leave your house unless necessary and make sure you always have all documents with you, according to the embassy.
