The Indian trio of Olympian Saurabh Chaudhary, Gaurav Rana and Uchaganve Kedarling Balakrishna missed a bronze medal in the men’s air pistol event of the ISSF World Cup on Wednesday. In the bronze medal match, the Indian pistol team finished with a total of 6 to finish in fourth place, behind Italian Torracchi Alessio, Monna Paolo and Tesconi Luca, who collected 16. their Italian counterparts (577).
In the first qualifier, the Indians came to a total of 765.
Earlier in the day, the Indian team of Rudrankkash Balasaheb Patil, Divyansh Singh Panwar and Srinjoy Dutta missed a place in the bronze medal match by a point in the men’s air rifle event of the first World Cup of the year.
The Indian men’s rifle team collected 624.1 points, just one point less than the total score of 624.2 for Ales Entrichel, Jiri Privratsky and Filip Nepejchel from the Czech Republic.
The Czechs won the bronze medal for Austria.
The Indian team of Shreya Agarwal, Ayushi Gupta and Rajshree Sancheti finished seventh in the qualifying stage 2 of the women’s 10m air rifle team event with a total score of 625.0.
