As India’s first transfemale fashion designer, Saisha shared the sketches of the ‘winning dress’ with News18. It took the designer four weeks to complete the ensemble, who also shared the making of the dress and the hard work it took to create this masterpiece on her Instagram account. Known for her love of pageants, Saisha Shinde was super excited about designing the final dress for Harnaaz Sandhu. Embellished with sequins, stones and embroidery, the dress featured a deep V-neckline and a thigh-high slit in the center, which complemented Harnaaz’s hour-long figure.
To celebrate sustainability in the creation, the dress featured embroidery made from existing material from Saisha’s design studio. Saisha also shared that since Harnaaz was from Punjab, she wanted the dress to represent her hometown and therefore showed embroidery inspired by phulkari designs. The geometric design in the dress, embellished with sequins and stones, added sparkle to the overall look of the ensemble.
All for creating with purpose, Saisha believes that there is a certain expectation of a Miss India in an international pageant, and it was her responsibility to ensure that the design looked elegant and exquisite, but at the same time it had to be powerful. be and strong.
