New Delhi [India]September 11 (ANI): Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said on Thursday that the recent criticism of social media on the Ethanol Blending program was a “paid campaign” against him and not based on facts, and added that the Supreme Court had already rejected the petitions.
During the 65th Siam -annual convention, Gadkari said: “The social media campaign was a paid campaign against me. The Supreme Court also rejected the petition. There was no fact.”
In the center of a debate, the minister has been concerned in recent weeks after feeding owners and service centers have expressed concern that higher ethanol mixtures can reduce miles and damage engines in older vehicles.
Gadkari rejects these fears and emphasized that the technical evaluations had not found a problem. “All test agencies have confirmed that there is no problem with the implementation,” he said. From an economic perspective, if £22 Lakh Crore is infused by the Indian economy, the benefits would be huge, so why should we not do this? We made the decision to produce ethanol from corn. About the issue of scrapping vehicles, Gadkari said that nearly three Lakh vehicles had been canceled until August 2025, including 1.41 Lakh royal vehicles. He added that discussions with the Minister of Finance include proposals to provide GST discounts for those who delete old cars and buy new ones.
“Remove old cars and buy new cars £40,000 crore to be central and states, “he said, emphasizing that industry must stimulate consumers that take deleting certificates with him. According to him, the policy can generate 70,000 jobs, reduce pollution and help restore rare earth materials.
Gadkari also emphasized challenges in the field of road safety and noted that India registers five Lakh accidents and 1.5 Lakh deaths every year, the highest in the world. “Road safety is our priority. If we can take the wounded to the hospitals, we can save 50,000 people from accidents,” he said, announcing that those who hurry victims will be given, will be given £25,000 as a price.
In the field of logistics, Gadkari said that the costs of India would be expected to fall on a single number of nine percent by December-end. He noted that the transport demand of trucks and buses would rise, in addition to fuel consumption, but emphasized that safety and sustainability would remain central in the policy.
