Gasoline, Diesel Prices Today: Petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged on Sunday, December 26, 2021. Earlier, the Delhi government had lowered the VAT on petrol from 30 percent to 19.40 percent. As a result, petrol prices in the national capital were reduced by Rs 8.56 per litre. A liter of petrol now costs Rs 95.41 in Delhi, while diesel rates – which were kept unchanged – were Rs 86.67 per litre.
In Mumbai, petrol is sold for Rs 109.98 per litre, while diesel is sold for Rs 94.14 per litre. Of the metro cities, fuel rates are still the highest in Mumbai. (Also Read: How to check the latest petrol and diesel rates in your city).

State-run oil refineries such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum revise fuel tariffs daily, taking into account crude oil prices in international markets and the exchange rates of the rupee and dollar. Any changes in petrol and diesel prices will be implemented daily from 6am.
