Even in cases of COVID-19 with the mildest symptoms, weakness and fatigue caused by the virus were the biggest roadblock to a full recovery. People continue to experience a lack of energy, sleep cycle disruption, forgetfulness and other similar symptoms despite testing negative for the virus.
Celebrity Yoga trainer Anshuka Parwani has suggested some easy ways to beat such symptoms of recovery after Covid-19. Parwani, who has trained Bollywood celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor and many others, shared a list of simple yoga exercises that would help people cope with the lingering weakness of COVID-19 recovery. She suggested the asanas in an Instagram post and performed them. The asanas are intended to strengthen immunity and lung capacity can be performed even by beginners.

Bitilasana
Parwani begins by suggesting the bitilasana. To perform this asana, you must first bring your body to all fours with the shoulders around the wrists and hips above the knees. Keep the back flat and parallel to the floor with the tops of your feet on the mat. Now inhale air as you roll the shoulder, dropping the abdomen into the floor and looking up at the ceiling.
marjaryasana
Marjaryasana is also known as the cat pose. For this, you must first go on all fours and exhale while pulling your middle and upper backs toward the ceiling. Then lower your head while relaxing your curve
baddhakonasana
Parwani suggests that the baddhakonasana or the butterfly pose is related to post-COVID-19 weakness. Sit up straight with the sides straight and the soles of your feet together, pulling them toward you. Then hold the tops of your feet or ankle to create a stretch in the inner thighs.
Uttana Shishosana
First take a tabletop position (on all fours) and crawl your hands away from yourself. At the same time, keep your forehead on the mat and keep the knee directly under the hips and toes supporting you.
Pawanmuktasana
The last asana in Parwani’s suggestion is the pawanmuktasana or the wind release pose where you should lie on your back and press the knees to your chest.
Wishing you a speedy recovery!
