Operation Sindoor: In the midst of the heated row on Trinamool Congress MP Yusuf Pathan who is no longer part of the Operation Sindoor Outreach program of the center, TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee claimed that there was no request to the “Mother Party” for the delegation.
“They (center) cannot decide the name. If they ask the mother party, the party will decide the name. This is common; this is the system. We are with the central government with regard to the policy of external matters and we fully support them,” Mamata Banerjee told reporters.
Yusuf Pathan not to attend the delegation
However, Trinamool Congress MP Yusuf Pathan will not participate in the 'Operation Sindoor' foreign outreach of the central government, according to sources on Monday.
According to the TMC, his admission was made without consulting the party, despite the fact that the government reportedly reached directly to Pathan. The former cricket player that has become a politician has since informed that he will not be available to participate in the delegation.
A fifty -fifty political leaders, including parliamentarians and former ministers from overallins, have been named seven delegations set to visit World Capitals, to transfer the determination of India to combat terrorism in the context of Operation Sindoor.
While TMC leader Sudip Bandyopadhyay refused participation with reference to health problems, TMC MP Yusuf Pathan, whose name appeared on the list, will not be present, according to PTI.
'Can not only decide the name of the member'
Add to her claims about how the name of Yusuf Pathan was included in the delegation list without the consultation of the 'Mother Party', Mamata Banerjee said:
“They cannot decide the name of the member themselves. It is not their choice, it is the choice of the party. If they have asked me to send someone, we will decide the name and tell them. It is not that we boycott or we are not going.”

The Multi-Party Delegation, consisting of seven groups led by each MP, was initiated by the Indian government to prevent worldwide incorrect information and to emphasize India's zero tolerance policy with regard to terrorism in more than 30 countries.
