She refuted claims that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was annoyed over the absence of Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal during the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by the ED. She claimed that she went to the US to attend a conference at Harvard and later her stay was extended as her sister contracted Covid-19. Maliwal also wondered why Raghav Chadha, who was also away during Kejriwal's arrest, was treated differently if she was attacked for that reason.
Raghav Chadha had undergone eye surgery in London and was away from the country for a long time. According to reports, he developed a serious eye condition that could have led to blindness.
Maliwal told India Today TV in an exclusive interview, “I went to the US to attend a Harvard conference and participated in several meet-and-greet events organized by AAP volunteers. Even at that time I was in contact with the party, I was tweeting and talking to AAP -leaders It is a great pity that I did not work for the party at the time.”

Bihav Kumar requests bail from the court
Meanwhile, Bibhav Kumar, who is accused of assaulting AAP MP Swati Maliwal, has filed a bail plea before a court, which has sought a response from the Delhi Police, sources said.
Kumar's counsels filed the plea after he was sent to four-day judicial custody on Friday, court sources said, adding that the plea will come up for hearing on Monday.
