A liter of petrol now costs Rs 95.41 in Delhi; while the diesel tariffs were Rs 86.67.
Gasoline, Diesel Prices Today: Petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Earlier, the Delhi government had cut the value added tax (VAT) on petrol from 30 percent to 19.40 percent. As a result, petrol prices in the national capital were reduced by Rs 8.56 per litre. A liter of petrol now costs Rs 95.41 in Delhi; while the diesel tariffs – which were kept unchanged – were Rs 86.67.
In Mumbai, petrol is sold for Rs 109.98 per litre, while diesel is sold for Rs 94.14 per litre. Of the metro cities, fuel rates are still the highest in Mumbai. Rates vary from country to country due to VAT. (Also Read: How to check the latest petrol and diesel rates in your city).

State-run oil refineries such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum revise fuel tariffs daily, taking into account crude oil prices in international markets and the exchange rates of the rupee and dollar. Any changes in petrol and diesel prices will be implemented daily from 6am.
Oil prices rose globally, but the price hikes were capped on investor concerns about oil demand after new restrictions were imposed in Europe and Asia amid a surge in coronavirus cases. Brent crude futures rose 1 cent to $74.40 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures gained 1 cent to $71.30.
