AAP launches DP campaign: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) minister Atishi on Tuesday said the party has launched a 'DP (Display Picture) Campaign' to celebrate AAP leader Manish Sisodia's release from Tihar Jail after 17 months. The Supreme Court granted bail to the former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister in the now-dropped Delhi Excise policy case.
Launching the campaign, Delhi Minister Atishi said that all AAP leaders and workers will use the photo of “Satyamev Jayate” on their social media accounts from 3 pm on Tuesday, August 13.
Comparing AAP to colonised Indians during the British Raj, Atishi said, “For the past two years, the BJP-led central government has left no stone unturned to harass the AAP-led Delhi government. False cases were filed against AAP leaders. They have not found a single rupee of corruption.”
“Despite this, all the big leaders of the AAP government were put in jail. At that time, those who fought against the British were also put in jail in false cases. Every dictator puts his opponents in jail to silence them. BJP thought that by committing such dictatorial acts, they will break AAP,” Atishi added.

Atishi said the AAP will celebrate Sisodia's bail. “We want to tell the BJP that no matter how much it harasses us or keeps our leaders in jail for long, truth will prevail in the end,” Atishi said.
“To mark this as a victory of truth, the AAP is launching the Satyamev Jayate campaign. All AAP leaders and volunteers will use the Satyamev Jayate display photo on their X, WhatsApp and Facebook accounts from Tuesday,” Atishi said.
“Satyamev Jayate” is part of a hymn from the Mundaka Upanishad and means “truth alone triumphs”.
The Satyamev Jayate DP (display picture) launched by the AAP has photographs of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Sisodia in the background of the party colours. At the top of the DP is “Satyamev Jayate” in Hindi. A photograph of the AAP's election symbol — broom — is at the bottom.
