The former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh accused the Sambhal government and police of acting in a biased manner, suggesting that they behaved as if they were BJP party workers instead of impartial authorities.
On November 24, violence broke out during a court-ordered ASI probe of the Shahi Jama Masjid, a 500-year-old mosque in Sambhal, leading to the deaths of five people. The mosque is protected by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI),
“Those who want to dig everywhere will one day lose the cordiality and brotherhood of the country,” Yadav said about Lok Sabha during the ongoing winter session of Parliament.
'Well-planned plot'
“The incident that took place in Sambhal is a well-planned conspiracy… By-elections were supposed to take place on November 13 in Uttar Pradesh but were postponed to November 20. This government (BJP) does not believe in the Constitution. . A petition was filed against Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal. An order for an investigation of the mosque was passed before even listening to the other side. The investigation was conducted on November 19 and the report would be submitted to the Court,” Yadav said.

On November 29, the Supreme Court, while hearing a plea against a court order allowing the survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal, directed the petitioners to approach the Supreme Court for resolution of the matter.
“Another survey was conducted on November 24, where people gathered to find out the reason for the survey. Circle Officer abused the people gathered there and a lathi charge was filed. Following this, police opened fire with their government and private weapons, injuring dozens and killing five innocents,” Yadav said.
Yadav also demanded that action be taken against the district administration and Sambhal police. “A murder case should be filed against the police and administration and should be stayed so that people can get justice and such an incident does not occur in future,” the spokesperson said.
