Winter Session of Parliament: The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha proceedings were suspended amid protest from the Opposition, minutes after the proceedings began on Wednesday. The hearing will now resume at 12 noon.
Opposition members created a ruckus in Lok Sabha when Bharatiya Janata Party MP Arun Govil took part in the Question Hour in the House. Speaker Om Birla adjourned Lok Sabha till 12 noon, soon after the lower house met at 11 am on Wednesday, November 27.

Similar scenes were also seen in Rajya Sabha. Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar requested the members to hold constructive discussions before adjourning the meeting for the day.
Adani Group denies allegations
Earlier this month, Gautam Adani, one of the world's richest men, and seven others were charged by US prosecutors with fraud for their alleged role in a $265 million scheme to bribe Indian government officials to secure energy supply deals. The Adani Group has denied all the allegations, calling them “baseless”.

Earlier in the day, the Adani Group denied allegations of bribery and violations of the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) against its chairman Gautam Adani, his nephew Sagar Adani and chief executive Vneet Jaain in a case filed by the US Department of Justice. (DOJ).
The company clarified that its chairman Gautam Adani, Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain have not been charged under the FCPA, dismissing recent claims as “false.”
Former Attorney General of India Mukul Rohatgi along with Rajya Sabha MP and senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani also addressed the media and said the allegations lack credible evidence and details.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Union government has lined up 16 bills, including the Waqf Act Amendment Bill, for the session that ends on December 20.
According to the Lok Sabha bulletin, five bills have been listed for introduction, consideration and approval, while 10 are up for consideration and approval.
