Xiaomi confirmed the existence of the Mi Mix 4 in February this year. However, the company has not yet revealed an exact launch date.

Xiaomi’s Mi Mix series of smartphones always shows the latest and greatest technology that the Chinese manufacturer is working on. Now, a report on the company’s Mi Mix 4 has suggested that the smartphone will come with a front-facing camera below the display that one tipster says will be “completely invisible” to the naked eye. Xiaomi has been working on its under-display front camera technology for quite some time, but it has yet to be seen on a commercial product. Separately, the Mi Mix 4 would come with a second display in the camera module, similar to the Mi 11 Ultra.

According to a tipster who goes by the name of Ice Universe, Xiaomi is planning to put a completely invisible front camera below the display on the Mi Mix 4. said that traces of the camera below the panel will not be visible to the naked eye, further sharing what appear to be renderings of the Mi Mix 4. Separately, a tipster named HoiNDI has posted renderings of the Mi Mix 4 on Twitter. The renders shared by HoiNDI show a secondary display on the back of the smartphone. The display appears to be housed in the camera module, similar to the Mi 11 Ultra. However, the secondary screen shown in the Mi Mix 4’s renders appears larger than the Mi 11 Ultra’s 1.1-inch secondary OLED display.

Xiaomi is one of the first companies to develop the technology for the front camera under the display. The company has reportedly been working on an under-screen camera since 2019. Last year, Xiaomi introduced its third-generation under-display camera technology, which is said to be ready for mass production this year, according to a report in Gadgets 360.

Xiaomi confirmed the existence of the Mi Mix 4 in February this year. However, the company has not yet revealed an exact launch date. The Mi Mix 4 is rumored to launch in August alongside Xiaomi’s latest MIUI 13.
