200 dead in Israel as Hamas group “slaughtered civilians”: army

Jerusalem:

The Israeli death toll from Saturday’s surprise Hamas attack has risen to more than 200, the army said, accusing the Palestinian terrorist of breaking into homes and “slaughtering civilians”.

“Terrorists rampaged and broke into homes, slaughtering civilians,” the army said, adding that more than 200 people were killed and more than 1,000 injured in the attack that began at dawn.
