More than 50 after -shocks, the Istanbul region cradled after a powerful earthquake of 6.2 Magnitude hit the sea of Marmara just in the south of the largest city of Turkey on Wednesday, said the Minister of the Interior.
“By 3.12 pm (1512 GMT), 51 after -shocks – of which the largest 5.9 size was -” wrote Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya on X and said that the first 6.2 Magnitude Quake, who struck at 12:59 pm, “took about seven kilometers deep of 13 seconds”.
