Airlines gave more flights in the middle on Monday after Iran's armed forces said that the country had launched a rocket attack on an American military base in Qatar, exaggerating the military conflict of the region.
More than 20 commercial aircraft on their way to Doha, Qatar, diverted, while another four are on their way to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, according to Aviation Data Firm Cirium. In the meantime, the Flighttradar24 plane platform said that the airspace was closed above the VAE. Reuters reported that the Bahrain island nation has also temporarily closed its airspace.
British Airways said on Monday that it cancel its Doha flights until Wednesday “after the latest developments”.
“Safety is always our highest priority,” said it. “We contact our customers to advise them on their options and keep the situation assessed.”

Earlier, large international airlines, including Air France, Iberia, Finnair and others, announced that they would pause or postpone a resumption of services in the middle.
American Airlines Had previously suspended his flights to Doha, and United Airlines Had paused the service for Dubai.
American carriers had also suspended their Israeli service after the strike of that country on Iran earlier this month.
The conflict in the Midden -East region comes on top of the years of war in Ukraine, where airlines have also avoided flights. The duel conflicts have forced airlines to take longer routes that are more expensive because they require more fuel, while carriers have periodically paused service when the attacks escalate.
