A video has surfaced on the internet showing two men posing as maintenance workers and trying to break in by kicking in the front door. The two men were armed with pistols. However, the men were greeted by a barrage of bullets from the homeowner. The wild scene was captured by a doorbell camera.
The video begins with one of the suspects, Aaron Contreras, knocking on the door of Ethan Rodriguez’s apartment. According to the New York Post, he claimed to be a maintenance worker there checking the filters in his air conditioner.
Mr Rodriguez answered the doorbell via a digital doorbell app on his phone and said no one was home. A few minutes later, the suspect returned with a gun and attempted to kick in the front door. Another man appears wearing a mask and tries to kick in the door.
However, things soon took a dramatic turn when Mr. Rodriguez tried to fight them off by opening fire from his apartment through the front door. The images show how the men run away from the door.
