“A successful G20 meeting today hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, followed by a good bilateral discussion on concluding the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement between Australia and India,” Albanese wrote on X.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese arrived in New Delhi on Friday to participate in the G20 summit.
Earlier in May, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was visiting three countries when he also visited Australia.
The Australian Prime Minister said Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Australia has strengthened the relationship between the two countries.
“This is a relationship we need to invest in. Our strong partnership with India will bring benefits to Australia in trade, investment and business and in regional security and stability,” said Anthony Albanese.
Underlining the value Australia gives to India, Albanese said he has met Prime Minister Modi six times. He also stated that Australia is a better place because of the contributions of the Indian-Australian community and wanted to see more connections between the two countries.
Meanwhile, Mr Albanese said on X that Australia and India are working more closely to boost renewable energy in both our countries.
Following his visit, Prime Minister Modi thanked his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese for his hospitality during his visit to Sydney, a visit that will “strengthen the friendship between Australia and India”, and noted that the two leaders will continue to work towards a “vibrant India-Australia Community”. friendship,” which is also in the “interests of global well-being.”
This is the first time that India is hosting the G20 summit. Extensive preparations have been made to showcase India’s traditions and strengths.
