Dhaka:
A court in Bangladesh has opened an investigation into the killing of ousted former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and six top figures from the previous government over the police killing of a man during civil unrest last month.
Mamun Mia, a lawyer who filed the case on behalf of a citizen, said the Dhaka court had ordered police to take up “the murder case against the accused,” the first step in a criminal investigation under Bangladesh law.
