Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited Irpin outside Ukraine’s capital on Sunday, the mayor said, where Russian troops were accused of atrocities against civilians.
Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn posted photos on an official social media channel with photos of Trudeau writing that the Canadian Prime Minister “came to Irpin to see with his own eyes all the horrors the Russian occupiers had inflicted on our city.”

Several Western political leaders, including UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, recently visited Irpin and other residential areas around the capital Kiev, where Russian troops were accused of killing hundreds of civilians.
