Billionaire and head of the newly established US Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) Elon Musk, together with US President Donald Trump, has accepted the old media houses in the US. The attempt to discredit the legacy media is channeled via X.com, the social media platform of Musk and Truth Social where the president is usually placed.
In the most recent attack, Musk and Trump trained their weapons on the reputed news agency Reuters.
Reuters received much more money than this from US government organizations, but through various subsidiaries and intermediaries to hide how they got it.

Musk had previously claimed that Reuters had received $ 9 million through the Biden administration for “large-scale social deception”.

Reuters responded to Musk's message and said that the contract was 'incorrectly represented'. It clarified that the contract was granted to Thomson Reuters Special Services (TRSS), a division separate from the news agency. The news agency also wore a clarification by spokesperson Tabatha Thompson of the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the R&D arm of the US Army.
