Elon Musk said the new Twitter policy will not only follow science, but also question science.
San Francisco:
Speaking to social media, Elon Musk announced Wednesday that the new Twitter policy will not only follow science, but will also reasonably question science.
“The new Twitter policy is to follow the science, which necessarily involves reasoned questioning of the science,” Musk tweeted.
Musk stated, “Anyone who says that critics of them doubt science itself cannot be considered a scientist,” in a follow-up to his initial policy statement.
Further details about the plan have not yet been released.
Since taking charge of Twitter as CEO, Elon Musk has been in the spotlight for his social media presence.
The CEO of Twitter has finally spoken out about his promised resignation after Monday’s poll. Elon Musk took to the microblogging site and tweeted, “I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job!”
The multibillionaire added that from now on he will only lead “the software and server teams.”
The post garnered a number of responses from netizens.
Twitter CEO Elon Musk launched a poll on the microblogging site on Monday, Dec. 19, asking users if he should step down as head of the social media platform and also pledging to abide by the result.
Elon Musk took to Twitter and said, “Should I resign as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll.”
Within minutes of Musk’s cryptic tweet, asking users if he should step down as head of the social media platform and also pledging to abide by the result, the “yes” votes started moving forward, reaching 57.5. percent.
In response, Musk said, “As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for because you might get it.”
This poll comes after Twitter announced Sunday that it would ban accounts used to promote other accounts on other specific social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and Mastodon.
In addition, Twitter said it still allows cross-posting of content from any social media platform. “Posting links or usernames to social media platforms not listed above also does not violate this policy.”
The change in Twitter rules comes at a time when Musk has faced some criticism for major policy changes on the platform.
