Washington, United States:
Billionaire Elon Musk is a “nice, relaxed” passenger, not a fan of cows and calves and prefers dim lights in the cabin when flies on board a private jet, according to a new memo obtained by Bloomberg.
The memo, leaked after a cyber attack on a private jet company, Netjets, owned by Berkshire Hathaway, describes the rules of the Tesla CEO and the type of flyer he is.
Musk prefers a cold 18 degrees Celsius Cabin, said the memo and added that the crew should not talk to him unless he initiates it. The memo reads: “He is not interested in the preservation of fuel and wants to fly so quickly and so immediately.”
It also offers specific rules for staff. The billionaire, which leads the Ministry of Government efficiency (doge) in the Trump government, does not like unexpected WiFi disturbances during flights. Even on short day trips the billionaire likes a good nap, the memo said.
It further states that he prefers the ventilation openings of the passengers, are closed to reduce the noise of the cabin. Not only that, the staff has been instructed not to be too technical assistance. It says: “Mr Musk regards himself as self -sufficient and does not need help with technology – if he does, he will ask.”
The memo was leaked after hackers had access to the Netjets systems by stealing information from one of his employees. The company revealed that limited information from a very small number of owners was hacked.
According to a report in The Economic Times, the hackers carried out the attack by misleading an employee to click on a phishing -e -mail, allowing them to steal the employee's login details. With this stolen information, the attackers had access to more files within the company.
Netjets is currently investigating the case.
This was not the first time that the private jet habits of Elon Musk received attention. Last year he removed a social media account that kept an eye on his plane.
