Hezbollah has repeatedly announced that it has fired rockets into areas of northern Israel.
Beirut:
The Lebanese militant group Hezbollah warned Israelis on Friday to stay away from Israeli army sites in residential areas in the north of the country.
“The hostile Israeli army uses the homes” of Israelis in northern Israel, and has military bases in residential areas “in major occupied cities such as Haifa, Tiberias and Acre,” the report said in Arabic and Hebrew.
It warned Israelis “not to come near these military gatherings to save their lives.”
After nearly a year of cross-border fire, Israel has stepped up its attacks since September 23 on what it says are the sites of the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.
The escalation has killed more than 1,200 people and driven about a million from their homes.
Hezbollah has repeatedly announced that it has fired rockets into areas of northern Israel.
