San Francisco:
Elon Musk on Saturday challenged Twitter Inc Chief Executive Officer Parag Agrawal to a public debate about the percentage of bots on the social media platform.
“Let him prove to the public that Twitter has <5% fake or spam users!” Elon Musk said in a tweet.
He also launched a poll asking if less than 5% of daily Twitter users are fake/spam.
Twitter on Thursday rejected a claim by Musk that he was misled into signing a $44 billion deal to buy the company.
I hereby challenge @paraga to a public debate about the Twitter bot rate.
Let him prove to the public that Twitter has <5% fake or spam users!

Musk filed a counterclaim against Twitter on July 29, escalating his legal battle against the company over his bid to walk away from the purchase agreement.
Earlier on Saturday, Musk said that if Twitter could provide his method of sampling 100 accounts and how it could confirm the accounts are genuine, his deal to buy the company should go through on its original terms.
