Islamabad:

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan once again praised India’s foreign policy towards importing oil from Russia, saying that “New Delhi’s decision is for the betterment of the population.”

Speaking at a meeting in Lahore, Imran Khan said: “India, which is a strategic partner of the United States, imports oil from Russia and says its decisions are based on the betterment of their people. But our foreign policy is for the betterment of other people,” he said at the meeting.

Earlier in March, Imran Khan admitted that India’s foreign policy is independent and for the betterment of the people.

At a public meeting in the Malakand area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Imran Khan had said: “I praise our neighbor for always having an independent foreign policy. Dialogue); they say they are neutral. They import oil from Russia despite sanctions because their policy is aimed at improving people.”

He further justified the reason for his visit to Russia. Imran Khan said he went to Moscow to control rising inflation in Pakistan.

“I went to Russia because Russia gave us oil at a 30 percent discount,” he said at the meeting in Lahore.

The chairman of the PTI did not claim for the first time that he was powerless for pursuing an independent foreign policy for Pakistan, which he said was not liked by international powers.

He accused the global armed forces of colluding with local “Mir Jaffars and Mir Sadiqs, among others” to end his government at a time when “the economy had reached an all-time high – all at a time when the coronavirus was rampant. havoc.”

Explaining the cable port issue, Imran Khan reiterated his claim that US Assistant Secretary of State for Central and South Asia Donald Lu threatened Pakistan’s ambassador to the US that Khan should be removed from power to get back in the US good books. to come.

“What crime had we committed that warranted forgiveness? Was it that we went to Russia? Or that we said we would not give military bases? Do you remember Lahore where they got these bad habits from. Why don’t they ask the same of the Indies? ” he asked.

Khan said the foreign powers did not like that he was also boosting trade with China.

“Because they didn’t like all these things, a conspiracy was planned. But no conspiracy can be successful without the support of Mir Jafars and Mir Sadiqs,” said the deposed prime minister.

He said the incumbent government — made up of three front men, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, PPP Co-chair Asif Ali Zardari and JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman — fully supports the foreign conspiracy.

Khan claimed that his government had been removed from power at a time when the country was advancing, with remittances, tax collection and development at a historic level.

“The unemployment level was at its lowest; we were ahead of everyone else. Our government also handled the coronavirus exemplary as we saved lives and jobs for our poor people,” Khan said.
