The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday criticized Turkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's remark about Kashmir and said it has submitted a strong protest to the Turkish ambassador.
Turkish President Erdogan repeated the support for Pakistan on Kashmir last week and called for a dialogue to tackle the issue during his visit to Islamabad, the Express Tribune reported.
In a weekly briefing, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said: “We reject such offensive remarks about things that are eternal for India. We have submitted a strong protest with the Turkish ambassador. Such unjustified statements about the territorial integrity of India are not acceptable.”
Jaiswal claimed that JK is an integral part of India and said that the Pakistan policy for cross -border terrorism against India remains the biggest threat to the people of UT.
“Jammu and Kashmir are integral parts of India. It would have been better if Pakistan's policy to use cross -border terrorism against India, which remains the greatest threat to the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” said Jaiswal.
According to the Express Tribune, Erdogan, president of Turkiye, praised Pakistan's sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and repeated Turkiye's relentless support for Pakistan on international issues, including the Kashmir dispute.
He confirmed the solidarity of Turkiye with Kashmiris and called for solving the conflict through dialogue under UN resolutions.
Pakistan Premier Shehbaz Sharif gratefully expressed for the consistent support of Turkiye to Kashmir. He said that the cooperation between the two countries was built on compassion and mutual respect.
Meanwhile, after the death of a 20-year-old Nepali student at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (Kiit) University in Odisha, Randhir Jaiswal expressed deep sadness and extensive condolences.
He again confirmed the government's dedication to the safety and well -being of all international students.
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic death of the Nepalese student at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology and transfer our sincere condolences. The Indian government gives a high priority to the safety, safety and well -being of all international students in the country in the Land.
