Washington:
American rapper and record producer Kanye West, who made a failed US presidential bid in 2020, has said he is not done with politics yet.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, in a recent interview with ABC News, West was asked if he had “future political ambitions” and the rapper replied, “Yes, absolutely.”
In the part of the interview, he declined to specify which offices he might be interested in, but a day after Election Day in 2020, when he appeared to give in with an Instagram post, he wrote “Kanye 2024”.
In this year’s song “Keep It Burnin,” Kanye also teased his political aspirations by rapping “When you run for ’24, I bet your husband gon’ be with you / Who put this together? Me, that’s who.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kanye, who was formerly married to Kim Kardashian, offered many disputes with her and her ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson in public when Kanye and Kardashian got divorced, also apologized in the interview for “any stress I caused , even in my frustration, because God is calling me to be stronger.”
Kim filed a petition to end her marriage to Kanye in February 2021 and was declared legally unmarried in March.
In a music video from earlier this year, Kanye rapped about beating “Pete Davidson’s a–,” among other comments that seem to suggest violence against Davidson. In the video, an animated Davidson is kidnapped and killed by an animated Kanye.
