Haley has addressed the Republican Party Convention several times, including in 2016 and 2020.
Washington:
Indian-Americans and former presidential candidates Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy will address the Republican National Convention here.
Haley, a former governor of South Carolina and former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, was a presidential candidate in the Republican primaries and was the last to suspend her campaign.
Millionaire entrepreneur-turned-politician Ramaswamy has seen a meteoric rise in the Republican Party, and is now considered a close confidant of former President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee.
This would mark Ramaswamy's first time speaking at the Republican National Convention, while Haley has addressed the RNC several times, including in 2016 and 2020.
Sources familiar with the RNC said Ramaswamy will speak first in a lineup of two other speakers Tuesday night in the 7:30-8 p.m. local time slot. Haley is third in a lineup of four speakers in the next 8-8:30 p.m. local time slot.
The evening concluded with speeches from Senator Marco Rubio and Lara Trump, co-chair of the Republican National Committee.
Donald Trump is expected to reappear Tuesday night and remain for the final hour of the RNC meetings.
