Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived on Thursday (local time) in Washington DC for a bilateral meeting with President Donald Trump. The visit of PM Modi to the White House, planned for 12-13 February, marks the fourth week of Trump's second term.
The encounter between the two leaders comes in the midst of increased tensions around Trump's trading rates in different countries, his controversial Gaza Peace Plan and his constant massive deportation of illegal immigrants. These issues are likely to be prominent in their discussions, because both leaders try to strengthen bilateral tires.
PM Modi is the fourth world leader who meets Trump in the White House since his inauguration on January 20.
The American president has already organized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and the King Abdullah of Jordan in the early weeks of his second presidency.
During his visit, it is also expected that PM Modi Elon Musk will meet in Washington. Reports indicate that the two leaders can discuss Starlink's delayed plans to launch satellite width services in India.
