Moscow:
Russia said Friday that a crew member was killed and 27 missing after the Moskva missile cruiser sank last week, Moscow’s first admission of losses following the tragedy.
“As a result of a fire on April 13, the Moskva missile cruiser was seriously damaged by the explosion of ammunition,” the defense ministry said in a statement from Russian news agencies.
“One soldier was killed, another 27 crew were missing,” the ministry said, adding that “the remaining 396 members” had been evacuated.
