Beirut:
Syrian rebels that President Bashar al-Assad deposited on Tuesday said they had taken the eastern city of Deir Ezzor, while a war monitor confirmed that the Kurdish troops had withdrawn.
“Our troops have taken the entire city of Deir Ezzor,” the rebels said in a statement, while the war monitor of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that Kurdish troops had withdrawn to other places.
