Seoul:
The South Korean actor Kim Sae-Ron was found dead on Sunday in her house in Seoul, the police said.
“She was found dead and there is no sign of cheating,” a police officer told AFP, without giving any more details.
She was 24 years old.
Kim Sae-Ron was found at her home on Sunday evening by a friend who reported the discovery to the police, said Yonhap News Agency.
Kim Sae-Ron is best known for her role in the film “The Man From Nowhere” from 2010, in which she played a kidnapped child saved by a former Special Forces agent.
She won the best new actress prize at the Korean Film Awards for her performance.
In her career, Kim Sae-Ron showed versatility in a series of acting roles and won several other film prizes.
But her career suddenly came to a halt after a drunk driving accident in 2022, for which she received a fine of 20 million ($ 13,800).
With a negative audience sentiment after the incident, she later had trouble getting a new role.
