Pakistan: Imran Khan has vowed to further expose the Sharif family.

Deposed Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has alleged that the Sharif family “paid a woman” — a veiled reference to his ex-wife Reham Khan — to write a book against him during the 2018 general election, claiming that the “mafia” attempted character assassination again and may release something after Eid, a media report said on Saturday.
Imran Khan indirectly referred to the book for the first time since its publication in 2018 at a public meeting in Multan, Punjab province, on Friday.
The ex-prime minister also spoke of his first wife Jemima Goldsmith, saying the UK-born TV personality would have to go through lawsuits and face charges of membership in the Jewish lobby of the “Sharif mafia”.
“It’s the people who paid a woman to write a book against me in the 2018 election. After Eid, they’re going for my character assassination again. I have a message for them… I will fight them as long as I live,” he told The Express Tribune.
The book titled ‘Reham Khan’ is a controversial 2018 memoir written by Reham, a renowned Pakistani British journalist, filmmaker and author.
Imran Khan also accused Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of ordering the most number of meetings during his tenure as Punjab’s chief minister and vowed to continue speaking against the ‘mafia’.
He said that Sharifs ran an entire campaign against Jemima and portrayed her as part of the Jewish lobby.
Imran Khan said Jemima had also been booked in a fake tile case and had to appear in court for a year, despite the forensic test having made it clear that the tiles were not antique, the report said.
Since his ouster as prime minister, Khan has sought public support against the ‘foreign conspiracy’ and for holding new elections in the country.
During his speech, while urging people to come out to support his story against what he calls “imported government”, Khan said he would try to rally two million people in Islamabad to hold new elections in the country as soon as possible. to demand.
He also vowed to a charged crowd to further expose the Sharif family by issuing a “white paper” on their corruption cases.
He claimed that the foreign powers had “imposed” corrupt rulers just because it was easier for them to control them.
Khan’s Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf party held protests across the country on April 10, a day after he lost a vote of no confidence. Since then, Khan has attended rallies in several cities, including Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar.
Khan on Saturday announced a rough timetable for his planned long march to Islamabad, calling for the last week of May without specifying the exact date, the Dawn reported.
“This appeal is for all of Pakistan – not just for the PTI,” he said in a video message from his party PTI.
“I want to give a message to all of Pakistan to start preparing from now on. The beginning of our preparation will be chaand raat (Eve of Eid) and I want to specifically say to the youth that you should come out with flags and tell the whole world that the Pakistani nation is alive,” he said.
