The report said Beijing-linked hackers were behind the US envoy’s hack into China’s email account.
Beijing:
Hackers associated with Beijing gained access to the email account of US Ambassador to China Nicholas Burns in an attack believed to have compromised at least hundreds of thousands of individual US government emails, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
Daniel Kritenbrink, the assistant secretary of state for East Asia, was also hacked in the cyber-espionage attack, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter.
