An interesting video of a little girl experiencing a wheelchair accessible pool is putting smiles on people’s faces everywhere.
Mother of four Katrina Placzek shared a video of her daughter Dallas, 8 years old, using a modified pool-friendly wheelchair at Tiff’s Place, a vacation rental in Chuluota, Florida.
Tiff’s Place is a wheelchair accessible vacation rental located in Chuluota, Florida, about 35 miles east of Orlando.
Dallas, who was born prematurely at 28 weeks gestational age, has quadriplegic spastic cerebral palsy. Her limbs are affected, making it difficult for her to walk.
Before her family vacationed at Tiff’s Place, the energetic kid had no access to the pools.
The mother commented in an Instagram video post: “We couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw this private wheelchair accessible pool! Never have we seen a wheelchair intended for swimming pools or a ramp intended for wheelchairs to access it. swimming pool!”
“Our first day at Tiff’s Place near Orlando, Florida. This is also the most accessible vacation home we’ve ever stayed in! Love it here!” Placzek continued in the caption.
According to her mother, 8-year-old Dallas was born prematurely at 28 weeks and has quadriplegic spastic cerebral palsy, which affects her arms and legs and makes it difficult for her to walk.
Dallas mom Placzek plans to raise awareness of this issue through social media.
After encountering a wheelchair swing in their neighborhood park, Placzek claimed she was inspired to share Dallas’ story and life on her “Discover With Dallas” Instagram and YouTube accounts.
Before that, the Dallas family stopped going to parks because there were no accessible amenities for her to enjoy, but seeing and using the wheelchair swing changed everything.
