Authorities believe a power surge caused by cable maintenance problems caused the explosion. The energy supplier associated with the infrastructure, Plus Energia, nevertheless disputed liability.
According to TRT world, the victim suffered injuries but is reportedly in stable condition and receiving medical attention. The exact cause of the explosion is under investigation.
This incident highlights the dangers of poorly maintained public infrastructure. A similar case occurred earlier this year in Lucknow, India, where a road collapsed after heavy rain, forming a massive sinkhole.

The incident took place in the capital of Uttar Pradesh, where footage showed a car hanging precariously on the edge of the large pothole created by the road collapse. The event highlighted the public safety risks posed by inadequate maintenance and heavy rains, and emphasized the need for better infrastructure management to prevent such accidents and ensure the safety of citizens.
