Munich:
The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zensky said on Saturday that he blocked a deal -led deal that would give the US access to huge amounts of Ukrainian natural resources, because “security guarantees” was missing for Kyiv and “not protecting us”.
Trump, a businessman who is very critical of the money that Washington has sent to Ukraine to combat the Russian invasion, has urged access to rare earths in Ukraine.
The announcement of Zensky came a day after the Ukrainian officials had given the US a concept of the agreement and three days after Trump called the Russian Vladimir Putin, with Europe and Kyiv that the couple alerted, the couple will try the conflict without them to end.
“The agreement is signed on ministerial level. But I am the president and I will have an impact on the quality of this document. That is why I have not allowed ministers to sign the agreement because it is not ready,” Zensky told Journalist at the Munich safety conference.
“In my opinion it does not protect us. It is not ready to protect us, our interests,” he added.
“It must be legally correct, correctly written, and it is an investment … If all this is connected to security guarantees. I don't see this connection in the document yet,” he said.
