Former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who underwent hip replacement surgery, was discharged from hospital on Friday.
A source close to him said Rao would go to his residence in Nandi Nagar from the hospital.
The BRS chief successfully underwent left total hip replacement surgery at the private super specialty hospital here on December 8 after suffering a fracture due to a fall at his residence.
BRS MLC and Rao's daughter K Kavitha said in a post on 'X' that her father was discharged from the hospital today after a successful surgery.
Thanking the doctors, nurses and staff, she said, “All the warmth and love we received from across the country during this difficult time was very heart-warming for KCR Garu and the entire family. My thanks and love to the entire BRS family .” KCR is expected to recover in six to eight weeks, hospital authorities said then.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and some of his cabinet colleagues, TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu, superstar Chiranjeevi and actor Prakash Raj were among several leaders and prominent figures who visited Rao at the hospital.
