All-rounder Shakib-Al-Hasan is undoubtedly one of the best cricketers Bangladesh has ever produced. Shakib became an international in 2006 and has helped Bangladesh cricket reach new heights with his heroic knocks and fiery spells. However, Shakib has increased his fan base as he has now entered politics by being part of the Awami League, the ruling party of Bangladesh. Shakib has started campaigning for the 2024 general elections and a very hilarious video of the event is now going viral on social media.
In the video, Shakib can be seen yawning on stage in what appears to be an election campaign. A few young fans jumped on stage and started taking selfies with him, to which he gave a very disinterested look.

The 36-year-old skipper, better known as the leading all-rounder of his time, led a dazzling campaign for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's ruling party. The result is hardly up for debate.
Opposition parties withdrew from a vote they said would be neither free nor fair, accusing Hasina of ruling with an iron fist.
Shakib admitted that he did not face any serious obstacles to his election, but said the election still made him anxious.
“The competition and challenges are always there, whether it is a small or a big team,” he said in his hometown of Magura, where he is vying for a seat for Hasina's Awami League.
“Even when we know we will beat a team, we still feel our hearts beating for the game.”
Shakib's campaign forced him to take a temporary leave of absence from cricket.
He skipped a tour of New Zealand, where the team shone without him and made history with their first one-day and Twenty20 wins against the host Black Caps.
