Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani said on Friday that his group companies would invest Rs 70,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh, which would help create about 30,000 jobs in the state.
Speaking at the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Investors Summit, Adani said, “We are investing more than Rs 70,000 crore in the state. We expect this investment to create more than 30,000 jobs.”
Elaborating on the investment, the chairman of the Adani Group said, “of this investment, Rs 11,000 crore has already been spent on our transmission, green energy, water, agro-logistics and our data center operations.”
“We are also investing Rs 24,000 crore in road and transportation infrastructure and Rs 35,000 crore in multi-model logistics and defense sectors,” he added.

“Our major investments are a sign of our confidence that today’s Uttar Pradesh will define tomorrow’s India,” he added.
Adani said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is building a new India to restore its past glory. CM Yogi Adityanath is building a foundation upon which UP’s trillion dollar economy will be built.
“Honorable Prime Minister from the day you became Prime Minister of Gujarat. I was privileged to have watched closely as you conceived, implemented and institutionalized an economic model driven by a huge focus on industrialization and balanced development for all who now serve as Prime Minister you are implementing the same Gujarat model across the country and the effect is transformative,” Adani said.
“Uttar Pradesh is a symbol of this quantum leap forward,” he added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the “groundbreaking” investor summit ceremony. On the occasion, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of 1,406 projects worth over Rs 80,000 crore in the state.
This is the third UP Investors Summit. The first summit took place in 2018 and the second in 2019.
